Purpose of Role

Thoresby Hall Hotel are currently recruiting for a Head Therapist to join their Spa & Leisure team. As Head Therapist, you will be responsible for ensuring the Therapist team have everything they need to deliver a relaxing guest experience, on a day-to-day basis, with the support of the Spa Manager.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Ordering and maintaining appropriate levels of all consumables for the Spa supported by the Spa Manager
• Deal with any guest or team queries with care and attention, in a timely manner
• Responsible for running successful ESPA promotions and other partner incentives, making sure that all team members understand the incentive, how it works and what’s expected of them with the support of Senior Therapist and ESPA Specialists
• Monitor and drive retail sales, including keeping incentive boards refreshed and up-to-date with the support of the Senior Therapist and ESPA Specialists
• Motivate and recognise the team for their achievements
• Manage stock levels, with the support of the Spa Manager
• Drive and monitor treatment room standards to a 5 star quality with support from the Senior Therapist
• Monitor the spa teams cleaning checklists on a daily basis with support from the Senior Therapist
• Monitor the spa teams rotas depending on the needs of the business with support of the Spa Manager
• Responsible for completing and processing commission payments on a monthly basis with the support of the General Manager
• Responsible for completing time sheets on a weekly basis with the support of the Senior Therapist
• Responsible for the training and development of the spa team with the support of the Senior Therapist and ESPA Specialists
 

Requirements

The successful candidate will need excellent commercial skills and the ability to drive the business forward as well as delivering a top class customer service.

This is a hands on role so which is ideally suited for either an existing Head Therapist or a senior therapist who is looking to take their first step into management. As such you should ideally be qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent).
